First Christian Church sends short-term Outreach Teams to support and learn from our various nonprofit partners around the world. Our teams offer services and support to further the work our partners are doing. Teams also learn a great deal and participate in the work God is already doing among our partners; some of this work looks like: church planting, furthering education for underserved communities, access to health care, livelihood skills training, and equipping & empowering local leadership. Our central purpose in sending teams is always to make Jesus known and glorified among all nations.

Middle East Team

In May 2025, this outreach team will be traveling to the Middle East for 10 days to volunteer in a Syrian refugee camp and livelihood skills training centers. The purpose of this team will be to equip vulnerable communities with skill sets and tools in order to build self sustaining futures. We believe in sharing hope and joy in faith-informed ways. This team will be working alongside Muslim & Christian communities as we work toward peace and support the already outstanding work of our nonprofit partners. The partners we come alongside are vetted, respected, and have longstanding positive rapport from the local governments & communities they work in. Our team will work in tandem with their existing work. We'll be hosting various workshops such as: basic carpentry skills training, ESL, and classes to empower & support women and children experiencing trauma.
