FCC Serve Day

Saturday, April 26th | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Volunteer with adults & families with kids of all ages at an FCC Serve Day at the HB Wetlands (*NOT the Bolsa Chica Wetlands). All clean-up supplies are provided. Please bring: gloves, hat, sunscreen, closed toed shoes, refillable water bottle, & wear long pants. Older children and adults will be picking up trash in the wetlands & weeding invasive non-native plants (you'll receive training on-site). Folks with younger children will be planting native plants to repopulate nesting material in the marshland. This is an excellent way to live out God's love as the church. We'll be serving alongside other faith groups who are also participating in this Serve Day. As volunteers for this project, we're communicating God's care for our earth & our compassion for people of all different religious backgrounds. This is a great family experience. You're welcome to join the Interfaith Serve Day's free lunch experience at Central Park after the HB Wetlands service project is over.
