The nativity story is an invitation to come home. Even in a broken world, God’s home is filled with peace, people, and His presence, the very things our hearts long for. Jesus’ birth begins a homecoming that lets us experience God’s peace and belonging here and now, an overlap of heaven and earth. Through the Holy Spirit, God makes His home in us, pointing toward the day He will make His home with us in the New Jerusalem. This is a return to God’s original design, renewed and made better. This new version of home begins with the birth of Jesus and still meets us today. This Christmas, come home and experience the hope and belonging found in Him.
